Kay Laurell
Kay Laurell (born Ruth Leslie; June 28, 1890 – January 31, 1927) was an American stage and silent film actress and model. Laurell began her career as an artists' model. After catching the eye of Florenz Ziegfeld, Jr., she was cast in the ''Ziegfeld Follies'' where she debuted in 1914. A popular performer who was noted for her beauty, she was called "one of the most beautiful women on the stage". In 1918, Laurell left the ''Follies'' to embark on an acting career. She went on to appear in stage productions on Broadway and in vaudeville, and made three silent films. In the 1920s, Laurell moved to Europe where she continued her stage career. She died during childbirth at the age of 36 in London. Early life Laurell was born in 1890 (some sources state 1894) in Erie, Pennsylvania. Anna Rosalie Eleonora Laurell Nash (born 12 February 1980) is a Swedish boxer. Laurell has won two World Championship golds, three European Championship Golds and seven National Swedish Championship golds in boxing. Laurell competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London after receiving a wild card from the Swedish Olympic Committee. She made it to the quarter-finals of her weight class. Carl-Bertil Laurell
Carl-Bertil Laurell (born 28 June 1919 in Uppsala, dead 18 September 2001 in Malmö) was a Sweden, Swedish medical doctor and researcher. Laurell was Professor of clinical chemistry at Lund University. He named the blood plasma protein transferrin, and discovered that an inherited lack of Alpha 1-antitrypsin could lead to emphysema. In 1976, he was made a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Laurell received the Edwin F. Ullman Award from the American Association for Clinical Chemistry on May 4 in 2001. He was married to Anna-Britta Laurell, Professor of immunology at Lund university, from 1946 until her death in 2000. The couple had six children. He died on 18 September 2001. References

Laurell Barker (born April 20, 1979), also known mononymously as Laurell, is a Canadian singer and songwriter currently residing in Malmö, Sweden. She has co-written songs with numerous artists, including Twice, Eleni Foureira and Oh My Girl. She won a Juno Award in 2018 for Dance Recording of the Year. In 2019, Barker was deemed the first female songwriter to have three songs competing in a Eurovision Song Contest final. Valtteri Laurell Pöyhönen (born September 23, 1978, in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish jazz guitarist, pianist, composer, bandleader and producer. He is best known as bandleader and composer of the 20-headed Ricky-Tick Big Band and the award-winning jazz-sextet Dalindèo. Biography Valtteri Laurell Pöyhönen grew up in Helsinki, Finland. In 2010 Pöyhönen finished his master studies in jazz composition from the jazz department of the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. He has also studied at the Conservatoire de Paris, the Codarts and Helsinki's Pop and Jazz Conservatory. Since 2009, Pöyhönen has divided his time between Berlin and Helsinki. Jacinda Kate Laurell Ardern ( ; born 26 July 1980) is a New Zealand politician who has been serving as the 40th prime minister of New Zealand and leader of the Labour Party since 2017. A member of the Labour Party, she has been the member of Parliament (MP) for Mount Albert since 2017. Born in Hamilton, Ardern grew up in Morrinsville and Murupara. She joined the Labour Party at the age of 17. After graduating from the University of Waikato in 2001, Ardern worked as a researcher in the office of Prime Minister Helen Clark.
