Laura Malin
Laura Malin (born 27 April 1974) is a Brazilian writer. She has written novels, biographies, and television and film scripts, and has worked as a reporter and editor. Early life and career Laura Malin was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1974, the only child of Ana Maria B. Malin and Mauro Malin. Because of political issues, she spent part of her early childhood moving from place to place: first Petropolis, then Salvador, Bahia, Salvador (both in Brazil), then to Santa Barbara, California, and finally Paris. She returned to Brazil in 1980 when she wrote her first (still unpublished) book “The Case of the Punjabi List” to give as a Christmas present to her family. At age of 15 she spent the summer of 1990 in a kibbutz, in Israel, and the following year she returned to France to pursue her studies in French literature. Débora Susan Duke (born January 2, 1950) best known as Débora Duarte, is a Brazilian actress. Early life Débora was born in São Paulo, Brazil. She is the daughter of actress Marisa Sanches with the American musician, Douglas Duke. When she was a year and eight months, her mother married the Brazilian actor Lima Duarte, who became her father. In order to honor him, Deborah adopted his artistic surname. A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. Sitcoms can be contrasted with sketch comedy, where a troupe may use new characters in each sketch, and stand-up comedy, where a comedian tells jokes and stories to an audience.
