Lasse Hoile
Lasse Hoile (born 1973 in Aarhus, Denmark) is a Danish artist, photographer and filmmaker. He has collaborated with musician Steven Wilson and his projects Porcupine Tree and Blackfield. He has also designed live visuals for US progressive metal band Dream Theater. In the mid-1990s he was the vocalist for Danish death metal band Panzerchrist. Hoile started working as an editor and producing short films in 1993. Five years later in 1998, he took up photography as a hobby. Since then, he has worked on documentaries, commercials, and short films. Hoile directed videos and creating a number of album sleeves for Porcupine Tree following the release of ''In Absentia'' in 2002. Later in 2005, he directed the recording of Porcupine Tree's first live performance DVD '' Arriving Somewhere...'', which took place at Park West, Chicago. Opeth
Opeth is a Swedish progressive metal/rock band from Stockholm, formed in 1990 by lead vocalist David Isberg. The group has been through several personnel changes, including the replacement of every original member; notably Isberg in 1992. Mikael Åkerfeldt has been Opeth's frontman and primary songwriter since Isberg's departure. Opeth has consistently incorporated progressive, folk, blues, classical, and jazz influences into its usually lengthy compositions, as well as strong influences from death metal, especially in their early works. Many songs include acoustic guitar passages and strong dynamic shifts, as well as death growls. Opeth is also well known for their incorporation of Mellotrons in their work. Park West (music Venue)
Park West (originally the Lane Court Theatre) is a concert venue located in Chicago, Illinois. The theater opened in 1916 as a vaudeville and movie theater by the Ascher Brothers. Currently, it can house up to 1,000 guests, in a general admission setting. About The theater opened in the 1910s, with a capacity of 1,000 people. In 1965, the theater became the "Town Theatre", eventually showing adult films and featuring live burlesque by 1967. Post-rock
Post-rock is a form of experimental rock characterized by a focus on exploring textures and timbre over traditional rock song structures, chords, or riffs. Post-rock artists are often instrumental, typically combining rock instrumentation with electronics. The genre emerged within the indie and underground music scene of the 1980s and early 1990s. ''Watershed'' is the ninth full-length studio album by the Swedish progressive metal band Opeth. Released by Roadrunner Records, ''Watershed'' is the first studio album by Opeth to feature guitarist Fredrik Åkesson and drummer Martin Axenrot, who replaced longtime guitarist Peter Lindgren and drummer Martin Lopez. TV-2 (stylized as ·2) is a Danish pop rock band group formed in 1981 in Aarhus. The group is composed of Steffen Brandt, Hans Erik Lerchenfeld, Georg Olesen, and Sven Gaul. Having released 19 studio albums, four live albums and three compilations, they are one of the most commercially successful Danish bands of all time - according to the band's own sales figures, they have sold more than two million records. TV-2 was formed prior to the Danish television station TV 2, which began broadcasting in 1988. The band was originally called Taurus with lyrics sung in English. "Time Flies" is a single from British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree. It was the only single to be released from their 2009 studio album '' The Incident'' and it also served as their final single for well over 12 years, until "Harridan" was released in November 2021. Overview Written by bandleader Steven Wilson, "Time Flies" is the centrepiece of the 55-minute movement that comprises the first disc of the album. The track deals with the passage of time and the phenomenon that as one gets older, time seems to pass even more quickly, with the lyrics making reference to Wilson's life so far.
