Larvik HK
Larvik Håndballklubb, is a women's handball club from Larvik, Norway. History Larvik HK was founded in 1990 as a merger of the handball departments in the two clubs Larvik Turn and Halsen. They played in the top division since 1992/93. During their first year they were close to relegation, but managed to remain on top. They saw their breakthrough the following season, as they won the league title in 1994, and played the Norwegian Cup final. From the late 1990s, Larvik was the strongest team on the Norwegian women's handball scene over a period of about twenty years, winning the league 19 times and the cup 17 times between 1994 and 2017. Last time they lost a league match at home was on 14 March 1999 before their first defeat in 18 years came against Vipers Kristiansand on 29 March 2017. Jotron Arena Larvik
Jotron Arena Larvik is an indoor arena in Larvik, Norway. It was opened in September 2009. The arena will be primarily used for handball, but the hall has additional permanent floor marks for basketball, volleyball and floorball. Maja Furu Sæteren (born 14 May 2003) is a Norwegian handball player for Larvik HK and Norway's recruit team. In September 2021 the Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang named Furu Sæteren as one of the biggest talents in Norwegian handball. Cecilie Leganger
Cecilie Leganger (born 12 March 1975) is a Norwegian retired handballer who played for the Norwegian national team. International championships Leganger made her debut on the Norwegian national team in 1993, 17 years old, and retired three years later, only 20. In 1993 she obtained bronze medal at the World Women's Handball Championship, being voted as Best Goalkeeper and Most Valuable Player at the championship. At the European Championship in 1994, she was voted best goalkeeper. At the 1995 World Championship she was again voted Best Goalkeeper. After a one-year break she made comeback as a club player, but did not play on the national team until the 1998 European Championship, winning gold medal with the Norwegian team and voted as best keeper in the championship. Tonje Larsen
Tonje Larsen (born 26 January 1975, in Tønsberg) is a retired Norwegian handballer who played for the Norwegian national team. She is Olympic champion, World champion and three times European champion. Vigdis Hårsaker (born July 16, 1981), is a Norwegian handball player, who currently plays club handball for Byåsen IL. She first played handball for Sjetne, but at age 14, she transferred to Byåsen.
