Lars Vaage
Lars Asbjørn Vaage (16 January 1928 – 6 January 2006) was a Norwegian physician and politician for the Conservative Party. He was born in Brunlanes, and graduated with the cand.med. degree in 1953. He worked at a hospital from 1953 to 1962, and became a specialist in radiology in 1963. From 1962 to his retirement in 1992 he worked as a physician in Stavanger. He was also the medical leader at the Royal Norwegian Navy Basic Training Establishment at Madla from 1959 to 1988. He was a member of Stavanger city council from 1965 to 1999—from 1968 to 1983 in the executive committee. He was also a member of Rogaland county council from 1972 to 1987. He served as deputy county mayor from 1979 to 1983 and county mayor from 1984 to 1987. Rogaland Teater
Rogaland Teater is a theatre in Stavanger, Norway. Background The theatre building was built in 1883 on a parcel of '' Kannik prestegård''. It was designed by architect Hartvig Sverdrup Eckhoff, and initially held close to 500 seats. The building housed ''Stavanger Faste Scene'' from 1914 to 1921, and Stavanger Teater from 1921 to 1926. Several changes have been made to the building over the years, including enlargements and modifications in 1951, 1974, 1980, and 2001. Rogaland Teater opened on 9 September 1947. A working committee had been established in 1946, and after subscription for shares and financial support from Rogaland county administration and several of the municipalities in Rogaland, the theatre was established on 6 June 1947. Arne Rettedal
Arne Rettedal (25 July 1926 – 28 December 2001) was Norwegian engineer, businessperson and politician for the Conservative Party. He is best known as the Minister of Local Government and Labour from 1981 to 1986, mayor of Stavanger from 1965 to 1967 and 1972 to 1981 and county mayor of Rogaland from 1988 to 1991. He was born in Madla as a son of farmer Ola Rettedal (1882–1956) and Rakel Kristine Berge (1884–1963). He finished his secondary education in 1947, and enrolled at the Norwegian Institute of Technology where he graduated in engineering in 1957.
