Larry Alexander (journalist)
Larry Alexander (born January 28, 1951) is an American journalist and military historian who has written a number of books about World War II, most notably about Easy Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. Easy Company was made famous principally by Stephen Ambrose's book and the ''Band of Brothers (TV miniseries)'' of that name. Author/Historian Alexander has been a columnist for the ''Lancaster Newspapers, Inc'', a newspaper in Lancaster, Pennsylvania since 1993. He retired from the paper in 2015. While with Lancaster Newspapers, he was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in 2005 and has won state-level journalism awards. He grew up on the same street as Dick Winters in Ephrata, Pennsylvania and made friends with him in 2001. Alexander began writing Winter's biography two years later. Lawrence R. "Larry" Alexander (June 10, 1950 – November 6, 2012) was an American politician and lawyer. Born on June 10, 1950, in Gardner, Massachusetts, Alexander received his bachelor's degree from Yale University and his Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law. He was a member of the Massachusetts bar. Alexander wrote newspaper articles and a novel. He served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1979 to 1991 as a Democrat. Lawrence Jones (born January 25, 1984) is an American professional wrestler and promoter. He is best known for his time with Impact Wrestling, where he performed under the ring name Larry D. The Straw Man, originally called the Scarecrow, is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Publication history The Scarecrow was created by writer Scott Edelman and artist Rico Rival and first appeared in ''Dead of Night'' #11 (August 1975). Gil Kane and Bernie Wrightson provided the cover art. Artist Bill Draut was to have drawn the first appearance of the Scarecrow, but did not complete the assignment. The Scarecrow was originally scheduled to appear as a feature in '' Monsters Unleashed'' and '' Giant-Size Werewolf'', but both of those series were cancelled before the Scarecrow feature could appear. It was then rescheduled for ''Dead of Night'' and after that series was cancelled as well, the character was to have a self-titled ''Scarecrow'' series, but it was not published. Lawrence Alexander (born October 22, 1991) is an American basketball player for Oberwart Gunners in the Austrian Basketball Superliga. He played college basketball for the North Dakota State Bison. He can play both point guard and shooting guard. High school career Alexander attended Manual High School in Peoria, Illinois. As a senior, he averaged 15 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
