Lapandav
''Lapandav'' () is a 1993 Indian Marathi-language romantic comedy film directed by Shravani Deodhar and produced by Sachin Parekar and Sanjay Parekar. It stars an ensemble cast of Ashok Saraf, Vandana Gupte, Vikram Gokhale, Savita Prabhune, Sunil Barve, Varsha Usgaonkar, Ajinkya Deo and Pallavi Ranade. Plot Abhijeet Samarth (Ashok Saraf) and Anant Mahashabde (Vikram Gokhale) are close friends in their mid-40s who get along each Saturday for a drink and enjoy some poetry. Abhijeet is the lazy owner of a gymnasium and lives a wealthy lifestyle with his wife Asavari (Vandana Gupte), collegiate daughter Rasika (Varsha Usgaonkar) and elderly father ( Bal Karve). Shrabani Deodhar
Shrabani Deodhar is an Indian film director and screenwriter who won the Indian National Film Awards, National Film Award for her very first project, the 1993 feature film ''Lapandav''. Background Dedhar has no formal training as a filmmaker. Her parents were both doctors, and she concedes that her filmmaking knowledge came from her husband, cinematographer Debu Deodhar. He advised she combines the sciences of what goes on behind-the-camera with that of motion pictures, and encouraged her to take film appreciation courses at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune so as tmodo pursue her wish to become a filmmaker. Debu Deodhar
Debu Deodhar was an Indian cinematographer who has been part of Indian cinema since 1972. His awards include the Maharashtra State Film Award, the Zee Gaurav Puraskar, and the Goa State award for outstanding cinematography for films such as '' Kairee'' (1999) and '' Daayraa'' (1996). Background Debu Deodhar graduated from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune with a specialization in cinematography. He began work as a cinematographer in 1972 as an assistant cameraman. His 38-year career over more than twentyfive films culminated with his final film, ''Marmabandh'' (2010). Ashok Saraf (Hindii pronunciation: ʃoːk səɾaːf born 4 June 1947) is an Indian film and stage actor and comedian. He has appeared in many Marathi language films and stage plays in lead roles and in Hindi language films and TV serials in supporting roles. Vikram Gokhale
Vikram Gokhale (14 November 1945 – 26 November 2022) was an Indian film, television and stage actor, noted for his roles in Marathi theatre, Hindi films and television. He was the son of the Veteran Marathi theater and film actor, Chandrakant Gokhale. Gokhale made his directorial debut in 2010, with the Marathi film ''Aaghaat''. Sunil Barve ( mr, सुनील बर्वे) is an Indian film, television and theatre actor, singer and producer. Predominantly working in Marathi, he has also worked in Hindi and Gujarati entertainment industry.
