Langdi (sport)
Langdi is a Traditional games of India, traditional Indian field sport played in Pandiyan Dynasty called "Nondiyaattam" , similar to hopscotch. The teams alternate chasing (attacking) and defending roles in each of the 4 innings of the game, with the chasing team's players restricted to hopping around on one foot, and attempting to score points by Tag (game), tagging as many defenders as possible within the 9 minutes of each inning. It is described by Marathi people, Marathis as a sport with a Marathi ethos. Langdi is considered to be useful in training for sports like kho kho, volleyball and gymnastics. The National Langdi Federation received national recognition in 2010. Langdi in Maharashtra is a popular childhood pastime, it is described as the foundation of all sports. Langadi is a rural municipal in the Narayani Zone, located in the Parsa District of Nepal. As of the 2011 Nepal census, Langadi had a population of 3,421 people living in 525 individual households. Chetan Chauhan
Chetan Pratap Singh Chauhan (; 21 July 1947 – 16 August 2020) was a cricketer who played 40 Test cricket, Test matches for Indian cricket team, India. He played Ranji Trophy for Maharashtra and Delhi. He played most of his international cricket in the late 1970s and was the regular opening partner of Sunil Gavaskar during that period. Chetan Chauhan was appointed Chairman of NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) from June 2016 to June 2017. He was also twice elected to the Lok Sabha from Amroha (Lok Sabha constituency), Amroha in Uttar Pradesh, in 1991 and 1998.
