Lance Jeter
Lance Lamar Jeter (born July 18, 1988) is an American professional basketball player. He plays point guard and occasionally shooting guard position. Jeter played college basketball for the Nebraska Huskers at the University of Nebraska. Nicknamed "The General", he is a two-time winner of the Dutch Basketball League MVP Award during his time with Donar. Professional career Aris Leeuwarden His first professional season, Jeter played for Aris Leeuwarden. He was the main scorer player of Aris, as he averaged 16.9 points per game. He was chosen to the DBL All-Star team. Koszalin and Ulm In 2012, he signed a contract with the Polish club AZS Koszalin but he was released quickly. Trefl Sopot is a Polish professional basketball team, based in Sopot, Poland. The team plays in the Dominet Bank Ekstraliga, Polish Tauron Basket Liga. The club was founded as the replacement of Asseco Gdynia, Prokom Asseco Sopot that left the city of Sopot for Gdynia in 2009. The 2016–17 Dutch Basketball League was the 57th season of the Dutch Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands. The season started on October 8, 2016 and ended May 25, 2017. Donar successfully defended its title. Teams Den Bosch and BSW were both close to bankruptcy in the offseason, but managed to stay alive. The 2014–15 NBB Cup was the 47th season of the annual cup tournament in the Netherlands. Donar was the defending champion. The Final was played in the Landstede Sportcentrum in Zwolle on 29 March 2015. Donar defeated SPM Shoeters Den Bosch 70–78 in the championship game. Format In the first, second and third round teams from the Dutch second, third and fourth division participate. From the fourth round, teams from the Dutch Basketball League (DBL) enter the competition. Quarter- and semi-finals are played in a two-legged format. When a team form a tier lower than the DBL played a DBL team, one win is sufficient for the latter to advance to the next round. The Basketball Cup, formerly the NBB Cup ( nl, NBB-Beker), is an annual cup competition for Dutch basketball teams organised by the Basketball Nederland. Every team in the Netherlands can participate by signing up for the preliminary rounds. Professional basketball teams from the Dutch Basketball League (DBL) enter the tournament in the fourth round. From 1977 until 1990 professional teams were not allowed to participate in the competition. The tournament is organized in a knock-out format, with quarter- and semi-finals being two-legged series while the final is played in a single game. The Dutch Basketball League (DBL), formerly the Eredivisie, was the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands, run by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). Since 2021, the league has been replaced by the Belgian-Dutch BNXT League. The league had a closed system: to participate, a team has to have enough money and potential.
