Lancaster and Morecambe College is a further education College situated on Torrisholme Road, between Lancaster and Morecambe, Lancashire, England. The college has been providing the local area with access to further and higher education since it was built in the 1950s although it can trace its mission back to Lancaster Mechanics Institute in 1824. Facilities Lancaster & Morecambe College has a wide range of facilities open to the public such as a sports centre, conferencing facilities, hairdressing salon, beauty salon, dog grooming parlour, restaurant, nursery and recording studio. Mabel Pakenham-Walsh
Mabel Pakenham-Walsh (2 September 1937 − 19 August 2013) was a British painter, sculptor and designer, and pioneering Women artists, female artist in post-war European figurative art. She worked in many mediums, but is particularly well known for her colourful wooden relief sculptures. Her work was significantly influenced by Tribal art, primitive and outsider art, and created primarily from recycled materials, earning her recognition as an early Ecological art, eco artist. Christopher Doyle (born 17 February 1995) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for Marine. Career Doyle spent time in the Everton Academy from the age of 10 to 14 before joining Dickie Danson's youth setup at Morecambe. Joseph Mwasile (born 6 July 1993) is a Zambian footballer who plays as a midfielder for City of Liverpool. He played in the Football League for Morecambe. Career Mwasile made his debut for Morecambe on 17 March 2012, in a 6–0 win over Barnet, coming on as a late substitute for Jordan Burrow. In October 2012 he joined Workington on loan, scoring his first goal for the club on 24 October in a 2–1 league match win over Altrincham. Niall Thomas Cowperthwaite (born 28 January 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays for Lancaster City as a left back. Career Born in Barrow-in-Furness, Cowperthwaite moved from the Morecambe juniors to the senior team in August 2010. In May 2012, Cowperthwaite was released by the club. Smith started his career with Morecambe, who loaned him out to Fleetwood Town and Bamber Bridge. Paul Laurence Lloyd (born 26 March 1987) is an English football midfielder who plays for Bamber Bridge. Career Lloyd was part of the successful Morecambe academy side coached under the guidance of Dickie Danson and after a successful spell in Morecambe's reserve squad, Lloyd was promoted to the first team managed by Jim Harvey in the summer of 2005.
