Lakeview High School (LHS) is a public high school in Lakeview, Oregon, United States. Lakeview, along with Paisley School, takes high students from Adel and Plush. Academics In 2008, 91% of the school's favorite received a high school diploma. Of 79 students, 72 graduated and seven dropped out. Athletics Lakeview's high school athletic program began around the time the school did. The mascot is known as the "Honker" and the team colors are navy blue and gold. A "Honker" is another name for a Canada goose. They are a member in good standing of the Oregon School Activities Association and participate in the Southern Cascade League. All teams currently play in Class 2A based on school enrollment. Lakeview is a town in Lake County, Oregon, United States. The population was 2,418 at the 2020 census. It is the county seat of Lake County. The city bills itself as the "Tallest Town in Oregon" because of its elevation, above sea level. Plush is an unincorporated rural community and census-designated place in the Warner Valley of Lake County, in the U.S. state of Oregon. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 57. The community is in an arid, sparsely populated part of the state by road northeast of Lakeview. The valley surrounding Plush contains many marshes and shallow lakes, most of them intermittent. Bernard Daly Educational Fund
The Bernard Daly Educational Fund is an education trust fund established in 1922 for the benefit of students graduating from high school in Lake County, Oregon. It is the oldest continuously operated place-based college scholarship fund in the United States. The fund is managed by a local board of trustees. Its assets total over $6,800,000, making it one of the largest scholarship funds in Oregon. Bernard Daly Bernard Daly was a doctor, businessman, banker, rancher, state representative, state senator, county judge, and regent of Oregon State Agricultural College (now Oregon State University). Daly was born in Ireland on February 17, 1858. He immigrated to the United States with his parents in 1864. After graduating from medical school, he joined the United States Army. The Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) is a non-profit, board-governed organization that regulates high school athletics and competitive activities via athletic conferences in the U.S. state of Oregon, providing equitable competition among its members, both public and private. Lake County is one of the 36 counties in the U.S. state of Oregon. As of the 2020 census, the population was 8,160. Its county seat is Lakeview. Paisley School District
Paisley School is a public charter school in Paisley, Oregon, United States. It serves students from kindergarten through twelfth grade (K-12). It is the only school in the Paisley School District 11C, and contains a boarding facility, which houses international students and domestic students for the High School.
