Lake Of Pietra Del Pertusillo
Lago di Pietra del Pertusillo is an artificial lake in the Province of Potenza, Basilicata, Italy. At an elevation of 532 m, its catchment basin area is 630 km2, while the lake itself has an area of 7.5 km2. Because of water table oscillations in the region and other local effects, it has been documented that the artificial lake has affected regional tectonics and has increased the magnitude of microearthquakes. The critically stressed Monti della Maddalena faults become triggered by small-to-moderate magnitude reservoir-induced seismicity. Dam The arch-gravity dam is 380 meters long and 95 meters high. Province Of Potenza
The Province of Potenza ( it, Provincia di Potenza; Potentino: ) is a province in the Basilicata region of southern Italy. Its capital is the city of Potenza. Agri River
The Agri is a river in the Basilicata region of southern Italy. In ancient times it was known as ''Aciris'' ( grc, Ἄκιρις, Akiris). The source of the river is in the Lucan Apennines north of Monte Volturino and west of Calvello in the province of Potenza. It is near the source of the Basento. The river flows south near Paterno before curving southeast. It flows near Tramutola, Viggiano, and Grumento Nova before entering a lake. After exiting the lake, the river flows eastward near Armento, Missanello, Aliano, and Sant'Arcangelo. A right tributary, the Racanello, enters the river in this area. Induced seismicity is typically minor earthquakes and tremors that are caused by human activity that alters the stresses and strains on Earth's crust. Most induced seismicity is of a low magnitude.
