Fremont Central Park is a park in the central area of Fremont, California on Paseo Padre Parkway at Stevenson Boulevard. It is easily accessible from I-880 and I-680. History In 2001, the City Council approved a project to utilize the site of the Puerto Penasco Swim Lagoon into a modern, family-oriented water play facility that would serve both the residents of Fremont as well as the surrounding region. The Laguna Creek watershed consists of of land within northern California's Alameda County. The watershed drains the foothills of the Diablo Range south of Niles Canyon. To the southeast, the area of Mission Peak Regional Preserve around Mission Peak is included.
