Lake Cypress Springs is a reservoir in northeast Texas, approximately east of Dallas, Texas. The lake is used for recreational, municipal, and industrial purposes. The lake is regularly monitored by a lake patrol, which enforces wake zones, fishing licenses, boat dock rules, and boating. Lake Cypress Springs has 20 subdivisions and around 850 waterfront homes. In 2011, Lake Cypress Springs was rated one of "The 10 Best Lakes to Call Home" according to ''D Magazine''. History Authorization was given on 10 November 1966 to construct the dam, originally designed to impound of water. The dam was built by the Vibig Construction Company of Dallas, Texas, with construction starting on 1 July 1968. Construction was finished on the dam on 15 February 1971. Franklin County, Texas
Franklin County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 10,359. The county seat is Mount Vernon. History Franklin County was erected and established in 1875, four decades after the independence of Texas, from land ceded by neighboring Titus County. East Texas is a broadly defined cultural, geographic, and ecological region in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Texas that comprises most of 41 counties. Lake Bob Sandlin State Park
Lake Bob Sandlin State Park is located around Lake Bob Sandlin in Northeast Texas, in the Pineywoods region. The lake lies in Titus, Camp, and Franklin Counties, with a small part in the northeast corner of Wood County. The park covers 639.8 acres of land on the northern shore of the lake in Titus County about 10 miles southwest of Mount Pleasant.
