Lahan (लहान) is a city and municipality with 24 wards' in Siraha District in the Madhesh Province south-eastern Nepal. It is connected with Mahendra Highway, which is also called the east–west highway. It is located nearly 261 km east of the capital, Kathmandu via B.P. highway and E-W Highway & 424 km east via Narayanghat-Mugling Highway. Lahan is located at the latitude of 26.717 and longitude of 86.483. It is at an elevation of 111 meters above sea level. It follows Nepali time zone, UTC Offset: +05:45 hours. Siraha District ( ne, सिराहा जिल्ला; ), a district in Madhesh Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. It is situated in the Terai belt of Nepal. The district, with Siraha as its district headquarters, covers an area of . Thadi ( ne, ठाड़ी) or Thadi Viswaspatti is a very old border town and a market place of Nepal in Siraha District bordering Indian town of Laukaha. It is currently part of Bhagwanpur Rural municipality. It is located nearly 370 kilometers or 107 miles east of the capital, Kathmandu. Thadi was part of Tirhut Rulers of Simraungarh. Madhesh Province ( Nepali/ mai, मधेश प्रदेश) is a province of Nepal that was formed after the adoption of the Constitution of Nepal. It is Nepal's most populous province, and smallest province by area. It borders Province No. 1 to the east, Bagmati Province to the north, and India’s Bihar state to the south. Laukaha
Laukaha is a very old Border Town in the district of Madhubani in the Indian state of Bihar. It is close to the border with Nepal and the Nepalese town of Thadi. The population of Laukaha is between 11, 000 and 15, 000. Laukaha has a primary school, high school, inter college, a police station, a post office, a branch of State Bank of India & Gramin Bank in the market. Laukaha has three main temples - Panchanath (Lord Shiva temple), Bhagwati temple (Maa Durga temple) and Ramjanki temple (Lord Rama temple). The town was historically part of Karnad Dynasty of Mithila Kings starting from Nanyadeva. Sagarmāthā Zone ( ne, सगरमाथा अञ्चल) or Sagarmatha Anclal ( ne, सगरमाथा अञ्चल) was one of the fourteen zones of Nepal until the restructuring of zones into provinces. Rajbiraj Airport
Rajbiraj Airport is a domestic airport located in Rajbiraj serving Saptari District, a district in Madhesh Province in Nepal. After eleven years of complete shut down, the airport resumed its operations on 23 May 2018. The airport is used by Local Residents as well as Tourists who come to visit Koshi Barrage, Kishi Tappu Wildlife reserve and also as transit airport to go to nearby towns in India. History Following the days after its official inauguration in 1959 by the then transport minister Ganesh Man Singh, the airport was closed down due to inadequate infrastructures and runway safety measures.
