Yolanda Vargas Dulché de la Parra (; July 18, 1926 Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico– August 8, 1999 in Mexico City) was a List of Mexican writers, Mexican writer principally known for the creation of the comic book character of Memín Pinguín and various telenovelas for Mexican television. She began her writing career as a way to supplement income for several newspapers, creating Memín Penguín in 1943. By 1960, she has successfully published a number of comic books, encouraging her husband, Guillermo de la Parra, to write as well. The two went on to create various successful telenovelas including Rubí (1968 TV series), Rubí, which has been redone for both television and film. In total Varga Dulché published over sixty titles in both Mexico and abroad. Delia Beatriz De la Cruz Delgado (born December 20, 1949), known professionally as Macaria, is a Mexican actress. Biography Delia De la Cruz was born in Mexico City. When she was one year old, her mother took her to Havana, Cuba, where she was raised by her grandparents until her mother brought her back to Mexico at age six. In school she initially studied teaching, before changing focus to dancing and singing. Juan Ferrara (born Juan Félix Gutiérrez Puerta; November 8, 1943) is a Mexican actor. Family Juan is a son of Ofelia Guilmáin and brother of Lucía Guilmáin y Esther Guilmáin. He was once married to the Mexican actress, Helena Rojo. He has two sons, actors Juan Carlos Bonet and Mauricio Bonet, with his first wife, Alicia Bonet. Biography Ferrara demonstrated an interest in acting since he was a young child. But it wasn't until he was 22 that he booked his first job as an actor. Valentín Pimstein
Valentín Pimstein Weiner (August 9, 1925 – June 27, 2017) was a Chilean Television producer, producer of telenovelas. Biography Pimstein was the seventh child of nine in a Belarusian Jewish family (from Minsk), which owns a glass shop in Barrio Brasil in Santiago. His fondness for the romantic and melodramatic stories born under the eaves of his mother, a frequent consumer of Mexican films and soap operas, and developed in parallel with his interest in theater. After fulfilling adulthood, Pimstein decided to leave his native country in search of adventure. He came to Mexico, where he became assistant director of a film studio assistant by day and a nightclub. There, he met Emilio Azcárraga Milmo, at that time owner of Telesistema Mexicano. A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs.
