Ladri di Biciclette is an Italian funky-R&B band, mainly successful between late 1980s and early 1990s. Career The group formed in 1984 in Carpi by some students of the Verona Conservatory as a revivalist band, inspired by The Blues Brothers. They held their first concerts in 1986, and after focusing on black music classics starting from 1987 they began producing original songs, generally composed by band members Paolo Belli and Enrico Prandi.Stefano Mannucci. Carpi (; ) is an Italian town and ''comune'' of about 71,000 inhabitants in the province of Modena, Emilia-Romagna. The Blues Brothers
The Blues Brothers are an American blues and soul revivalist band founded in 1978 by comedians Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi as part of a musical sketch on ''Saturday Night Live''. Belushi and Aykroyd fronted the band, in character, respectively, as lead vocalist ' Joliet' Jake Blues and harmonica player/vocalist Elwood Blues, donning black suits with matching fedoras and sunglasses. The Sanremo Music Festival 1989 was the 39th annual Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo, province of Imperia, between 21 and 25 February 1989 and broadcast on Rai 1. The show was presented by Rosita Celentano, Paola Dominguin, Danny Quinn e Gianmarco Tognazzi. Kay Sandvick and Clare Ann Matz hosted the segments from the Sanremo Casino where a number of foreign guests performed. The Festivalbar was an Italian singing competition that took place in the most important Italian squares during summer, such as the Piazza del Duomo, Catania or Piazza Bra, Verona. The first edition took place in 1964 and was broadcast by RAI. The competition was held throughout the summer and the final round always took place at the Arena in Verona after 3-4 events in various cities of Italy. History Originally, the Festivalbar was a competition made with data from jukeboxes in Italian bars, so the competition was a one evening event transmitted by RAI. Tony Esposito
Anthony James "Tony O" Esposito (April 23, 1943 – August 10, 2021) was a Canadian-American professional ice hockey goaltender, who played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL), 15 of those for the Chicago Black Hawks. He was one of the pioneers of the now popular butterfly style. Tony was the younger brother of Phil Esposito, a centre. Both brothers had notable careers and are enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
