Ladd is an unincorporated community in northwestern Texas County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The community was located in Long Hollow, approximately 1.25 miles south of the Texas- Pulaski county line and about 1.75 miles northeast of Evening Shade ''Evening Shade'' is an American sitcom television series that aired on CBS from September 21, 1990, to May 23, 1994. The Long Hollow church and cemetery are located about one-half mile south in Long Hollow and the historic Long Hollow school was located near the community site. Texas County is a county located in the southern portion of the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2020 census, the population was 24,487. Its county seat is Houston. The county was organized in 1843 as Ashley County, changing its name in 1845 to Texas, after the Republic of Texas. Pulaski County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2010 census, the population was 52,274. Its county seat is Waynesville. The county was organized in 1833 and named for Kazimierz Pułaski, a Polish patriot who died fighting in the American Revolution. Pulaski County is the site of Fort Leonard Wood, a U.S. Army training base.
