Harriette Deborah Lacy (1807–1874) was an English actress. Born in London, she was the daughter of a tradesman named Taylor. Her first appearance on the stage was at Bath in 1827 as Julia in ''The Rivals'', and she was immediately given leading parts there, in both comedy and tragedy. In baseball and softball, a relief pitcher or reliever is a pitcher who enters the game after the starting pitcher is removed because of fatigue, ineffectiveness, injury, or ejection, or for other strategic reasons, such as inclement weather delays or pinch hitter substitutions. Relief pitchers are further divided informally into various roles, such as closers, setup men, middle relief pitchers, left/right-handed specialists, and long relievers. Whereas starting pitchers usually throw so many pitches in a single game that they must rest several days before pitching in another, relief pitchers are expected to be more flexible and typically pitch in more games with a shorter time period between pitching appearances but with fewer innings pitched per appearance. John Lacy (born 14 August 1951, in Liverpool) is a former professional footballer who played for Kingstonian, Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace. Football career Lacy played for Merseyside Schoolboys and Lancashire Schoolboys as a junior, before joining Lancashire Combination side Marine during the 1968–69 season in which he helped them win the Liverpool Senior Non-League Cup and the Lancashire Combination League Cup. While a student at the London School of Economics, Lacy played in the London Universities side which was then coached by the former England and Fulham player George Cohen. Cohen recommended him to his former club, which Lacy joined in June 1971. The central defender made 168 league appearances including 4 as sub and scoring on 7 occasions in his time at Craven Cottage which includes an appearance in the 1975 FA Cup Final. John Lacy (c. 1615? – 17 September 1681) was an English comic actor and playwright during the English Restoration, Restoration era. In his own time he gained a reputation as "the greatest comedian of his day" and was the favourite comic of King Charles II of England, Charles II. Life Lacy was born in or near Doncaster; in 1631 he became an apprentice of John Ogilby, when Ogilby was functioning as what was then called a "dancing master"—roughly the equivalent of a modern dance teacher and choreographer. Lacy's stage career began by 1639, when he was a member of Beeston's Boys. Lacy joined the royalist forces in the English Civil War, and was commissioned an officer (lieutenant and quartermaster). He held the IBF super middleweight title from 2004 to 2006, and the IBO super middleweight title from 2005 to 2006.
