La Paz, Iloilo
La Paz () is one of the seven districts of Iloilo City in the Philippine province of Iloilo, on the island of Panay, in the region of Western Visayas. It is the third-largest district by land area, after Jaro and Mandurriao. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 54,720 people. It was formerly known as ''Ilawod'' or "sea/wet land" together with Jaro which was referred to as ''Ilaya'' or "mountain/dry land". It is known as the origin place of the popular Filipino noodle soup dish, La Paz Batchoy. The La Paz District Plaza, also known simply as the La Paz Park in Iloilo, is the largest of the city's six district plazas. It features a large football field where games are held on occasion. Iloilo City's At-large Congressional District
Iloilo City's at-large congressional district is the city-wide electoral district in Iloilo City, Philippines. It has been electing representatives at-large to the House of Representatives since 1987 and earlier to the National Assembly from 1943 to 1944. The district was first formed ahead of the 1943 Philippine legislative election following the ratification of the Second Philippine Republic constitution which called for a unicameral legislature composed of delegates from all provinces and chartered cities in the country. Iloilo, a chartered city since 1936, elected Fortunato R. Ybiernas to the National Assembly, who was joined by then-mayor Vicente R. Ybiernas as an appointed second delegate. Lapuz () is one of the seven districts of Iloilo City, in the Philippine province of Iloilo, on the island of Panay, in the Western Visayas. It is the smallest district by land area as well as the least populous district, with 31,747 people in the 2020 census. Molo () is a district of Iloilo City in Iloilo Province, on Panay Island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. It is the most densely populated district of all the seven districts of Iloilo City. Molo was a separate municipality before it was incorporated into the then-municipality of Iloilo by virtue of Act No. 719 of 1903. Molo was originally the ''Parián'' (Chinese district or Chinatown) of Iloilo, which is the area that the Chinese residents of Iloilo lived in. Arevalo, Iloilo City
Villa de Arevalo (; ), commonly known as simply Villa or Arevalo, is one of the seven districts of Iloilo City in the province of Iloilo, on the island of Panay in Western Visayas, in the Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 55,476 people. Arevalo is the westernmost district of Iloilo City and it borders Oton to the west. Batchoy, less commonly spelled batsoy, is a noodle soup made with pork offal, crushed pork cracklings, chicken stock, beef loin and round noodles.
