"La Incondicional" (The Unconditional") is a pop song written, produced, and arranged by Spanish Juan Carlos Calderón and performed by Mexican singer Luis Miguel. It was released in 1989 as the third single from his studio album entitled ''Busca una Mujer'' (1988) and became his second #1 single on the ''Billboard'' Hot Latin Tracks chart after " Ahora Te Puedes Marchar" in 1987. The song broke several airplay records in Latin America, topping the charts in Mexico (where it became the biggest hit of the year), Chile and Peru; and the top-ten in other countries. The success of the song helped push the album to #3 on the ''Billboard'' Latin Pop Albums with approximate sales of four million units. "La Incondicional" won Pop Song of the Year at the Premios Lo Nuestro in 1990. VH1 Latin America was a music channel from ViacomCBS-owned ViacomCBS Networks Americas. The network was launched on April 1, 2004 exclusively on Cablevisión D.F. in Mexico, and in the rest of the region some months later. The channel targeted audience from 19 to 44 years old and played local and international music videos from the 1970s to the 2000s. It also aired famous countdowns from VH1 United States. It reached most of the satellite and cable systems in Latin America. VH1 Soul, another channel of MTV Networks and sister channel of VH1 was also available in the region. Merengue Music
Merengue is a type of music and dance originating in the Dominican Republic, which has become a very popular genre throughout Latin America, and also in several major cities in the United States with Latino communities. Merengue was inscribed on November 30, 2016 in the representative list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO. Merengue was developed in the middle of the 1800s, originally played with European stringed instruments ( bandurria and guitar). Years later, the stringed instruments were replaced by the accordion, thus conforming, together with the güira and the tambora, the instrumental structure of the typical merengue ensemble. Sergio Pascual Vargas Parra (Villa Altagracia, Dominican Republic, March 15, 1960) is a performer of merengue and bolero, who was very popular in the 80s and 90s, during the "golden age of merengue" and today remains active as one of the leading figures in Dominican merengue. Nu Flavor is an R&B quartet from Long Beach, California consisting of Jacob Ceniceros (baritone), Anthony DaCosta (tenor), Rigo Luna (alto), and Frank Pangelinan, Jr. (tenor/lead). History Nu Flavor formed in 1994. Under their manager's direction, they created a cover of the Journey hit " Open Arms", and eventually the recording found its way to Reprise Records president Howie Klein. The Heroic Military College (officially in es, Heroico Colegio Militar) is the major military educational institution in Mexico. It was founded in 1823 and located in the former Palace of the Inquisition in Mexico City. Initially designated as the Cadet Academy, it was renamed in 1823 as the Colegio Militar.
