La Fortaleza (Francisca Valenzuela Album)
''La Fortaleza'' (''The Fortress'') is the fourth studio album by Chilean-American singer-songwriter Francisca Valenzuela. It was digitally released on January 17, 2020, by Sony Music Chile. The album consists of fourteen tracks, including the singles "Tómame" and "Héroe". It won the Pulsar Awards, Pulsar Award for Album of the Year. Promotion Valenzuela started promotions in the "Tómame Tour" that visited some casinos in Chile in October 2018. Two months later, she embarked in a promotional "summer tour" that visited different cities in Chile. She also was part of the 2019 edition of Lollapalooza Chile. On November 18, 2019, it was confirmed that she will take part at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival, 2020 Festival de Viña del Mar, performing on January 24. Francisca Valenzuela (; born March 17, 1987 in San Francisco, California) is an American-born Chilean singer, poet, and multi-instrumentalist. Valenzuela was born and raised in San Francisco, California, where she resided until the age of 12, before moving to Santiago, Chile. She gained popularity in Chile and Latin America following the release of her debut album, '' Muérdete La Lengua'', in June 2007. Her second album, ''Buen Soldado'', followed in March 2011. ''Tajo Abierto'' ("Open Wound" in English) is the third studio album by Chilean-American singer-songwriter Francisca Valenzuela. The album was released on September 9, 2014, for download (worldwide) and physically in Chile, the United States, Mexico and Spain. The album features 10 Spanish-language songs and 1 English song. Production and writing process The pre-production stages for "Tajo Abierto" began at the end of 2012, when Valenzuela began composing new material. Unlike her previous albums which were produced and recorded in Santiago, Chile, she relocated to Los Angeles, California to work on demos at her home and met with producers in early 2013. Pulsar Awards
The Premios Pulsar ( en, Pulsar Awards) is an award ceremony presented annually by the (SCD) to recognize the best in Chilean music releases. It includes categories for albums, songs, music videos and music-related books and other publications. The first awards ceremony was held on 25 July 2015, at Teatro Nescafé de las Artes in Santiago. Chilean television presented Ignacio Franzani served as host while La Red and Radio Cooperativa broadcast the ceremony on television and radio, respectively. Los Jaivas is a Chilean musical group who perform in folk, rock, psychedelic, and progressive rock styles formed in 1963 in Viña Del Mar, Chile.
