The FFSA Academy (formerly known as La Filière, Volant Elf and Auto Sport Academy) was created in 1993 by Elf Aquitaine to promote French drivers at the highest level, in line with its marketing approach and its commitment to Renault in F1. It is located at: Technoparc des 24 Heures, Chemin aux Boeufs, 72100 Le Mans, France. History A variety of driving schools and motorsport talent searches operated across France throughout the 1970s and 1980s, and were all eventually merged to create the Auto Sport Academy in 1993. It was taken over in April 2001 by the FFSA (Fédération Française du Sport Automobile), becoming one of its subsidiaries. Its main objective is to train young drivers and promote the best to give them access to a professional career; 40 to 50 drivers are trained every year in its two main disciplines, competition karting (Formula Kart) and single-seater racing (Formula Campus Renault Elf). 2019 French F4 Championship
The 2019 French F4 Championship was the ninth season to run under the guise of the French F4 Championship and the second season under the FIA Formula 4 regulations. The championship used Mygale M14-F4 chassis with an upgraded 2.0 litre engine. The series began on 20 April at Nogaro and ended on 13 October at Le Castellet. Hadrien David, who won seven races throughout the season, won the title, 57.5 points ahead of closest challenger Reshad de Gerus, who came out victorious on four occasions. Sixth-placed Enzo Valente won two races, and Nicky Hays, Victor Bernier, Gillian Henrion, Isack Hadjar, Ugo Gazil, Mikkel Grundtvig and Paul-Adrien Pallot all won one race respectively. The 2019 ADAC Formula 4 Championship was the fifth season of the ADAC Formula 4, an open-wheel motor racing series. It was a multi-event motor racing championship that featured drivers competing in 1.4 litre Tatuus-Abarth single seat race cars that conformed to the technical regulations for the championship. It began on 27 April at Oschersleben and finished on 29 September at Sachsenring after seven triple header rounds. The 2022 FIA Formula 2 Championship is a motor racing championship for Formula 2 cars that is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). Théo Pourchaire
Théo Jérôme Julien Pourchaire (born 20 August 2003) is a French racing driver, who most recently competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship for the ART Grand Prix team and the reigining Formula 2 vice-champion. He is currently a member of the Sauber Academy. Pourchaire started racing in single-seaters in 2018, and proceeded to win the Junior French F4 Championship. The following year, he moved up and won the 2019 ADAC Formula 4 Championship, scrapping with Dennis Hauger to the title. Pourchaire signed with ART Grand Prix for the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship and ended the season as runner-up behind Oscar Piastri by three points. He was promoted up to the FIA Formula 2 Championship remaining with ART where he finished fifth in the standings during his rookie year. Pourchaire has since taken multiple victories at this level. Esteban Masson (born 18 September 2004) is a Canadian-French racing driver who is the 2021 French F4 Championship, 2021 French F4 champion and currently drives for Campos Racing in the 2023 Eurocup-3 season. 2020 Formula Renault Eurocup
The 2020 Formula Renault Eurocup was a multi-event motor racing championship for open-wheel, formula racing cars held across Europe. The championship featured drivers competing in 1.8 litre Formula Renault single-seat race cars that conform to the technical regulations of the championship.
