''La Conexión'' (English: Connection) is a mixtape recorded by Puerto Rican-American girl group Nina Sky. It was released on October 21, 2005, in United States and four days later worldwide through La Conexión Music and Traffic Records, one year after their debut self-titled studio album. It features appearances by musicians such as N.O.R.E., Tony Touch, B-Real, Ivy Queen, Pitbull, Lil Jon, Richie Rivera, Mackie y Yaga, Aventura and Notch. Special edition of the album was also released in October 2005. It contained one bonus track and an exclusive bonus DVD. The duo said that they gave the album title ''La Conexión'' because they feel connection to Latin music and culture, Puerto Rican food, Spanish language etc. while embracing their Puerto Rican roots. Nina Sky is an American musical duo consisting of identical twins Nicole and Natalie Albino. Their debut single "Move Ya Body", released from their self-titled debut album in 2004, was a success, reaching number four on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Louis Mario Freese (born June 2, 1970), known by his stage name B-Real, is an American rapper. Since 1991, he has been one of two lead rappers in the hip hop group Cypress Hill, along with Sen Dog. The Tropical Airplay chart (formerly known as Tropical/Salsa and Tropical Songs) is a record chart published by ''Billboard'' magazine introduced in 1994. The first number-one song on the chart was " Quien Eres Tu" by Luis Enrique. Originally, rankings on the chart were determined by the amount of airplay a song received on radio stations that primarily played tropical music, namely music originating from the Spanish-speaking areas of the Caribbean such as salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, vallenato, and tropical fusions. Aventura is an American bachata group formed in The Bronx, New York.
