La Colegiala
"La Colegiala" ("the collegian", or "girl student" in Spanish language, Spanish) is a Latin iconic song composed in 1975 by Walter León Aguilar, leader of the Peruvian Cumbia music, Cumbia ensemble "Los Ilusionistas", and made hugely popular in the early 1980s by the Colombian singer Rodolfo Aicardi, crediting it to Rodolfo y su Tipica RA7. "Los Ilusionistas" original version Walter León Aguilar, leader of the Cumbia music band "Los Ilusionistas", composed the song inspired by a young girl who was passing by while Mr. León Aguilar was riding a public bus. He called his friend, singer Carlos Ramirez Centeno, to sing and record the song for the first time in 1977. The song was a hit in Peru, mainly in the rural areas of its capital city Lima. Maribel Pérez (born 29 January 1976), best known by her stage name Belle Perez, is a Belgian-Spanish musician and songwriter. Born in Neerpelt to Spanish parents as María Isabelle Pérez Cerezo, the Flemish singer was discovered for her musical talents by Patrick Renier at a local talent show in 1997 at the age of 21. In 1999 she participated in the Belgian preselections of the Eurovision Song Contest and from then on Belle's career in music took off. Barbara Alexandra "Sandra" Reemer (17 October 1950 – 6 June 2017) was an Indo-Dutch singer and television presenter. She represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest on three occasions, tying with Corry Brokken for most appearances representing the country. In 1972, she sang the song " Als het om de liefde gaat" in a duet with Dries Holten (she was credited as "Sandra", he was credited as "Andres"); the duo came fourth.
