LO Stat
LO Stat (LO State) is one of two bargaining structures within the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO). LO Stat is the counterpart in negotiations over state employees' wages and conditions with the government and the employer's organisation, Spekter. It organizes employees of (1) the Norwegian state (Government employees) or (2) of companies that are member bodies of the employers' association Spekter. It was created in 1939 under the name ''Statstjenestemannskartellet'' ('the Cartel of Public Servants'). In 1996 it was renamed to LO Stat. It was one of four cartels until 2004, when LO Industri and LO Service were abolished, leaving only LO Stat and, for municipal employees, LO Kommune. The current chair is Tone Rønoldtangen. Norwegian Transport Workers' Union (Norwegian:''Norsk Transportarbeiderforbund'', NTF) was a Norwegian trade union which was established on 2 April 1896. The union organised workers in logistics and private goods and passenger transport. The main areas for the union were drivers plus workshop and maintenance personnel in the bus companies, warehouses and terminal workers, drivers in forwarding and wholesale industry, mailroom employees and delivering personnel in newspaper companies, taxi drivers, employees in the environmental industry (waste disposal and recycling), freight drivers (long and local transport of goods ) and stevedores workers in the ports. Norwegian Prison And Probation Officers’ Union
Norwegian Prison and Probation Officers' Union ( Norwegian: ''Norsk Fengsels- og Friomsorgsforbund'', NFF) is the largest union for employees within correctional services in Norway, encompassing both the prison service and the probation service. The Union was established in 1918 under the name Norsk Fengselstjenestemannsforbund, but the name was changed to the current name when NFF also organized probation officers. NFF has over 3,500 members. There are local elected representatives at the regional level and departments at the jobsites level at each prison and probation office. The Norwegian Union of General Workers ( no, Norsk Arbeidsmandsforbund, NAF) is a trade union in Norway. The Union of Employees in Commerce and Offices ( no, Handel og Kontor i Norge) (HK) is a trade union in Norway. The union was founded in 1908, with the merger of 21 local unions of shop and office workers. It initially struggled financially, but these slowly improved as the union was centralised.
