Lévis—Lotbinière (formerly Lotbinière—Chutes-de-la-Chaudière) is a federal electoral district in the province of Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 2004. It was created in 2003 from parts of Lévis-et-Chutes-de-la-Chaudière and Lotbinière—L'Érable ridings. Geography Located southwest of Quebec City along the Saint Lawrence River, the riding includes parts of the city's south shore suburbs. Laurier-Station is a village municipality in Lotbinière Regional County Municipality in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec, Canada. Its population is 2,634 as of the Canada 2011 Census. Mégantic—L'Érable is a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 2004. The current MP is Conservative Luc Berthold. Geography Straddling the Quebec regions of Centre-du-Québec, Chaudière-Appalaches and Estrie, it consists of the regional county municipalities of Les Appalaches, L'Érable, and Le Granit. Notable towns include Thetford Mines, Plessisville and Lac-Mégantic. Saint-Apollinaire is a municipality in the Municipalité régionale de comté de Lotbinière in Quebec, Canada. It is part of the Chaudière-Appalaches region and the population is 7,968 as of 2021. It is named after Saint Apollinaris (french: Saint Apollinaire). History In 1738, Angélique le Gardeur, daughter of the seigneur of Tilly, became a widow and was granted a seigneury which she named the seigneury of Gaspé, after her late husband. This seigniory is located to the south of the seigniory of Tilly. the current municipality of St-Apollinaire is within the limits of that seigneury of Gaspé. In 1806, a road crossing the territory of the seigneury of Gaspé was opened between Saint-Nicolas (today Lévis) and Saint-Gilles, which allowed the developpement of the county of Lotbinière. Saint-Lambert-de-Lauzon is a municipality in La Nouvelle-Beauce Regional County Municipality in Quebec, Canada. It is part of the Chaudière-Appalaches region and the population is 6,177 as of the Canada 2011 Census. Prior to June 22, 2013 it was a parish municipality. Charny, Quebec
Charny is a district (''secteur'') within the Les Chutes-de-la-Chaudière-Est borough of the city of Lévis, Quebec. It is located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, south of Quebec City. Formerly an independent city, Charny was merged with Lévis on January 1, 2002. History Over the last century, Charny has been tremendously influenced socially and economically by the Canadian National Railway which maintains a major national train yard in the town, Joffre Yard. The roundhouse in the yard was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1992.
