Léon Lichtlé
Léon Lichtlé, also known as Léon Témooheiteaoa (born 26 May 1941), is a former French Polynesian politician and Cabinet Minister. He served as Mayor of Ua Huka for 30 years. He was a member of E'a Api. In 1978 he established a citrus arboretum in Ua Huka. Oscar Manutahi Temaru (born November 1, 1944) is a French politician. He has been President of French Polynesia (''président de la Polynésie française''), an overseas collectivity of France, on five occasions: in 2004, from 2005 to 2006, from 2007 to 2008, in 2009, and from 2011 to 2013 and mayor of Faa'a since 1983. Career He first served as the President of French Polynesia (''président de la Polynésie française'') from June 15, 2004 until his Government lost a no-confidence motion on October 8, 2004. He was the caretaker President for two weeks after that, but was forced to give up the presidency until March 2005, when he was reelected after parliamentary by-elections. Marquesas Islands
The Marquesas Islands (; french: Îles Marquises or ' or '; Marquesan: ' ( North Marquesan) and ' ( South Marquesan), both meaning "the land of men") are a group of volcanic islands in French Polynesia, an overseas collectivity of France in the southern Pacific Ocean. The Council of Ministers is the executive branch of the government of French Polynesia. It is headed and appointed by the President of French Polynesia. Fritch 2018 cabinet The current cabinet was appointed by Édouard Fritch on 24 May 2018 following the 2018 French Polynesian legislative election. Six of the Ministers were appointed from the Assembly of French Polynesia, and as a result vacated their seats. Ua Huka
Ua Huka is one of the Marquesas Islands, in French Polynesia, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Ocean. It is situated in the northern group of the archipelago, approximately to the east of Nuku Hiva, at . Name Ua Huka is sometimes also found spelled ''Roohka'' or ''Ua Huna''. The first Western navigator to sight the island was U.S. Navy Captain Joseph Ingraham in 1791. The Assembly of French Polynesia (french: Assemblée de la Polynésie française, Tahitian: Te apo'ora'a rahi o te fenua Mā'ohi) is the unicameral legislature of French Polynesia, an overseas country of the French Republic. It is located at Place Tarahoi in Pape'ete, Tahiti. It was established in its current form in 1996 although a Tahitian Assembly was first created in 1824. It consists of 57 members who are elected by popular vote for five years; the electoral system is based upon proportional representation in six multi-seat constituencies.
