Léo Chuard
Léo Chuard is a Swiss former professional ice hockey goaltender who briefly played in the Swiss League (SL). He also appeared in one game with Genève-Servette HC of the National League (NL) during the 2015-16 season. Playing career Chuard made his National League (NL) debut with Genève-Servette HC during the 2015-16 season, playing only 4 minutes in a single game. He never played for the team again before being loaned to HC La Chaux-de-Fonds of the Swiss League (SL) during the 2017-18 season. Chuard moved overseas to play the 2018/19 season with the Shreveport Mudbugs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). He posted a .930 SVS% with a 2.38 GAA through 37 regular season games and a .936 SVS% in 10 playoffs games. Chuard started the 2019-20 season as a free agent before returning to Genève-Servette HC on December 16, 2019, agreeing to a one-year deal. The Bellinzona Rockets are a Swiss professional ice hockey team who play in Bellinzona in the canton of Ticino. They have played since the 2016–17 season in the Swiss League (SL), the second tier of the main professional ice hockey league in Switzerland, behind the National League. North American Hockey League
The North American Hockey League (NAHL) is one of the top junior hockey leagues in the United States and is in its 48th season of operation in 2022–23. It is the only Tier II junior league sanctioned by USA Hockey, and acts as an alternative to the Tier I United States Hockey League (USHL). The NAHL is one of the oldest junior hockey leagues in the United States and is headquartered in Addison, Texas. The teams span the United States from Maine in the East to Alaska in the Northwest and to Texas in the South. The Shreveport Mudbugs are a Tier II junior ice hockey team based in Shreveport, Louisiana, as a member of the North American Hockey League. The new Mudbugs replaced a former professional team that played in the area from 1997 to 2011 known as the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs. History From 1997 to 2000, Shreveport, Louisiana was home to a professional hockey team in the Western Professional Hockey League (WPHL) named the Shreveport Mudbugs. In 2000, the Mudbugs relocated to nearby Bossier City to play out of CenturyTel Center and changed their name to the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs. The National League (NL) is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and is the top tier of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was known as National League A. During the 2018–19 season, the league had an average of 6,949 spectators per game which is the highest among European leagues (ahead of the KHL with 6,397 and the DEL with 6,215). The Swiss League is the second tier of the main professional ice hockey league in Switzerland, behind the National League. In ice hockey, the goaltender (commonly referred to as the goalie) is the player responsible for preventing the hockey puck from entering their team's net, thus preventing the opposing team from scoring.
