Lyubomir Ivanov (explorer)
Lyubomir Ivanov ( bg, Любомир Иванов, born 7 October 1952 in Sofia) is a Bulgarian scientist, non-governmental activist, and Antarctic explorer. He is a graduate of the St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia with M.S. degree in mathematics in 1977, earned his PhD from Sofia University in 1980 under the direction of Dimiter Skordev, with a dissertation entitled ''Iterative Operative Spaces'', and was the 1987 winner of ''Acad. Nikola Obreshkov Prize'', the highest Bulgarian award in mathematics. Academic and NGO work Appointed head of the Department of Mathematical Logic at the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in 1990, Dr Ivanov has since helped found the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria, in which he held the position of chairman from 2001 to 2009. Lubomir N. Vladikin ( bg, Любомир Н. Владикин) a jurist, writer, and Bulgarian nationalist of the 20th century. Biography Early life Vladikin was born on September 3, 1891 in the village of Golyamo Belovo, Pazardzhik area. His mother, Maria Morfova, sister of the opera singer Hristina Morfova and the composer Aleksandar Morfov, studied French Philology in Geneva. His father, Nikola Yonkov Vladikin, was a well-known journalist, scholar, writer, publicist, historian and political activist. Over the period from 1890 to 1912 he was an MP for three consecutive terms. He was a nephew of the Bishop of South Bulgaria (from Ohrid to Edirne), known under the church name Evstatiy Pelagoniyski. Lyubomir Neikov ( bg, Любомир Нейков; born 7 February 1972, in Cherven Bryag) is a Bulgarian comedian and actor. He is known for his work on television and in theatre. He graduated from the Technical School of electrical engineering and later he graduated from NATFIZ in 1998, specializing in Doll Acting. In 1998 he started working on ''Slavi's Show'', where he was part of "The Actor Trio" together with Krasi Radkov and Viktor Kalev. He competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul where he won Olympic gold on pommel horse. Early life Lyubomir Geraskov was born on December 27, 1968, in his hometown, slightly on the outskirts of Bulgaria's capital and largest city, Sofia.
