Lynsey Hanley
Lynsey Hanley (born 12 April 1976) is a British writer and academic. Biography Hanley was born in Birmingham and grew up on a council estate in the suburb of Chelmsley Wood. She studied English at Queen Mary University of London. Hanley is a visiting fellow in cultural history at Liverpool John Moores University. She is the author of ''Estates: an Intimate History'' and ''Respectable: Crossing the Class Divide'', and is also a regular contributor to ''The Guardian''.
