Lynnhurst is a neighborhood in the Southwest community in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Its boundaries are 46th Street to the north, Lyndale Avenue to the east, 54th Street to the south, and Penn Avenue to the west. It is located along the southeastern shore of Lake Harriet. Outflows from the lake run through a parkway for several city blocks to reach Minnehaha Creek. Public schools in the neighborhood include Burroughs Community School. The Lynnhurst Recreation Center, part of the Minneapolis parks system, includes a gymnasium, meeting rooms, and other facilities; nearby Lynnhurst Park includes baseball and softball fields, a playground, and tennis courts. Lyndale Avenue
Lyndale Avenue is a major street in the U.S. state of Minnesota that traverses the cities of Minneapolis, Brooklyn Center, Richfield, and Bloomington. A noncontiguous portion also exists in Faribault, part of Highway 21. There are several commercial districts along the street, including Lyn-Lake in South Minneapolis, Shops at Lyndale in Richfield, and the Oxboro area in Bloomington. Armatage, Minneapolis
Armatage is a neighborhood in the Southwest community in Minneapolis. In the city's southwest corner, the neighborhood is bounded on the north by 54th Street West, on the east by Logan Avenue South, on the south by Highway 62, and on the west by the city limits at Xerxes Avenue South. The neighborhood grew around the school named for Maude Armatage, a distinguished community leader. Armatage is built up with mostly single-family housing and some multifamily buildings.
