Lynn Township is one of the fifteen townships of Hardin County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census the population was 591. Geography Located in the southern center of the county, it borders the following townships: * Cessna Township - north * Buck Township - east * Taylor Creek Township - south * McDonald Township - west No municipalities are located in Lynn Township. Name and history Lynn Township was established in 1857. The township's name most likely comes from the linden trees which were once abundant there, although a share of the pioneer settlers had the last name Lynn. It is the only Lynn Township statewide. Lynn Township is a township in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. It is the largest township by area in Lehigh County and also the most rural and least densely populated township in the county. The population of Lynn Township was 4,229 at the 2010 census. Lynn Township is a suburb of Allentown in the Lehigh Valley, which had a population of 861,899 and was the 68th-most populous metropolitan area in the U.S. as of the 2020 census. Geography The township is in the northwest corner of Lehigh County. Blue Mountain separates it from Schuylkill County in the north. Wells County is a county in the U.S. state of North Dakota. As of the 2020 census, the population was 3,982. Its county seat is Fessenden. History The Dakota Territory legislature created the county on January 4, 1873. Its government was not organized at that time, nor was it attached for administrative or judicial purposes to another county. It was named Gingras County; this name continued until February 26, 1881, when the name was changed to Wells County, named for Edward Payson Wells, a Jamestown banker, early promoter of the James River Valley, and member of the legislature in 1881. The county government was organized on August 28, 1884, with Sykeston as the county seat. In 1894 the county seat was transferred to Fessendon.
