Lynn Kessler
Lynn E. Kessler (born February 26, 1941) is an American politician who served as a member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing the 24th district from 1993 to 2011. A member of the Democratic Party, she served as the House Majority Leader from 1999 to 2010. She also served on the Washington State Fine Arts Commission and the National Association of State Arts Agencies (NASAA). She is a former small-business owner and executive director of the United Way of Grays Harbor. Lynn Kessler, was recognized in 2010 as the National Legislator of the Year (Excellence in Legislative Leadership) by the National Council of State Legislatures.http://www.ncsl.org/ Additionally, Kessler was recognized as one of the top 100 legislators in the nation. Washington House Of Representatives
The Washington House of Representatives is the lower house of the Washington State Legislature, and along with the Washington State Senate makes up the legislature of the U.S. state of Washington. It is composed of 98 Representatives from 49 districts, each of which elects one Senator and two members of the House. They are elected to separate positions with the top-two primary system. Hoquiam
Hoquiam ( ) is a city in Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. It borders the city of Aberdeen at Myrtle Street, with Hoquiam to the west. The two cities share a common economic history in lumbering and exporting, but Hoquiam has maintained its independent identity. It shares a long rivalry with its more populated neighbor, especially in high school sports. Hoquiam (Ho'-kwee-um, or Ho-kwim, to natives) was incorporated on May 21, 1890. Its name comes from a Native-American word meaning "hungry for wood", from the great amount of driftwood at the mouth of the Hoquiam River. The population was 8,776 at the 2020 census.
