Lynn Hamilton (actress)
Lynn Hamilton (born April 25, 1930) is an American former actress whose acting debut came in 1959 in John Cassavetes' ''Shadows'', She is best known for her recurring role as Donna Harris; Fred's girlfriend and later fiancée on the sitcom '' Sanford and Son'' (1972 - 1977). Early years Hamilton was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi, to Nancy and Louis Hamilton and moved to Chicago Heights, Illinois, when she was twelve years old. She attended Bloom High School. She studied acting at Goodman Theatre. Career Hamilton began her career in community theatre in Chicago and debuted on Broadway in ''Only in America'' in 1959. She appeared in three other Broadway plays, many Off-Broadway plays and spent three years with the New York Shakespeare Festival. Lynn Hamilton (basketball)
Lynn Polson Hamilton (born 19 April 1962) is a Canadian former basketball player. She competed for Canada in the women's basketball tournament at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, where the Canadian team finished in fourth place. She then represented Canada at the 1986 FIBA World Championship for Women, where the team finished in third place and won a bronze medal. Personal life Polson was born in St. Catharines, Ontario. Polson married rower Doug Hamilton, who also competed at the 1984 Olympics and won a bronze medal. Lyn Hamilton
Lyn Elizabeth Hamilton (August 6, 1944 – September 10, 2009) was a Canadian author of archaeological mystery novels. Born to John Hamilton, a lawyer and politician, and Gwen, a librarian, Lyn Hamilton grew up in Etobicoke, Ontario, and was educated at the University of Toronto. She worked in communications in the public service and private companies before publishing her first novel at the age of 50. She had been director of Cultural Programs Branch for the province of Ontario and director of public affairs for the Canadian Opera Company. Later, Hamilton taught mystery writing for the School for Continuing Studies of the University of Toronto and served as writer-in-residence for libraries in North York and Kitchener. Death She died on September 10, 2009, from cancer, aged 65.
