Lyngby Station
Lyngby station is a station on the Hillerød radial of the S-train network in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located centrally in Kongens Lyngby. With its large bus terminal, situated on the east side of the station, it is an important hub for public transport in the northern suburbs of Copenhagen. The station building contains a shopping arcade with circa 15 stores, including two supermarkets. The station opened in 1863. History Lyngby Station opened on 1 October 1863 as the terminus of the first stage of Nordbanen. The small station building was designed byVilhelm Carl Heinrich Wolf. The railway was extended to Helsingør in 1864. The Lyngby-Vedbæk Railway opened in 1890. The station building was demolished in connection with the introduction of double tracks between Hellerup and Holte. See also: List of Copenhagen S-train lines There are 86 stations that are operated in normal operation on the Copenhagen S-train, an urban rail network which serves the Copenhagen metropolitan area in Denmark. The stations are located on six suburban radial routes - A, B, Bx, C, E, H, and a ring line ( F). Forty-six are elevated, twenty-one are street level, fifteen are below street, four have different levels and one is underground. Hellerup Station
Hellerup station is a regional and S-train railway station]serving the district of Hellerup in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is served by regional trains on the Coast Branch, as well as S-trains. History The station was designed by V.C.H. Wolf and opened on 22 July 1863, simultaneously with the start of service on the Klampenborg line. The station was among the first on Copenhagen's S-train network. The first S-train line ( Klampenborg station to Vanløse station) included Hellerup station. This was in 1934 and the S-trains initially followed the northern path of today's F-line. Hellerup station was the fourth station from Klampenborg and the fourth from Vanløse. Since then the southern part of the F-line has a new path and several new stations have opened, all south of Hellerup. Netto () is a Danish discount supermarket operating in Denmark, Germany, Poland, and previously in Sweden and the United Kingdom both as a stand-alone venture, until its sale in May 2010 to Asda, and via a joint venture with Sainsbury's between June 2014 and July 2016. Jægersborg Station
Jægersborg station is a station on the Hillerød radial of the S-train network in Copenhagen, Denmark, served by the E and A-train. It is also the southern terminus of the Nærumbanen local railway. There are two distinct sets of platforms for each service. The S-train has double tracks and an island platform. Although there are two tracks with platforms on either side for the local Nærumbanen service, because it is the terminus of the single track line, only the closer southerly platform is regularly used. Heinrich Wenck
Heinrich (Henry) Emil Charles Wenck (10 March 1851 – 3 February 1936) was a Danish architect, known for the numerous railway stations he designed in his capacity of chief architect for the Danish State Railways from 1894 to 1921. During the years Wenck held the post, the railway network in Denmark experienced a strong expansion and he designed around 150 stations of which 15 are listed today. Among these are Copenhagen Central Station and the Øresund Railway stations which are examples of his National Romantic and Historicist styles. From 1903 he was a titular professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen.
