Lynch Mob (band)
Lynch Mob is an American hard rock band featuring former Dokken guitarist George Lynch. He has been the band's only permanent member. History 1989 formation Lynch Mob was formed in 1989, from the remains of Lynch's former band, Dokken. The band original line-up also featured Dokken's drummer, Mick Brown. The first Lynch Mob album was released in 1990, titled ''Wicked Sensation.'' The title track, along with "River of Love," "She's Evil But She's Mine," and "For a Million Years" were archetypes of the 1980s glam metal scene. However, with the waning popularity of the genre, the album did not gain a widespread audience. Vocalist Oni Logan was fired shortly after the tour, as his lifestyle had negatively impacted his ability to perform. According to a Rockshowmagazine interview with former bassist Anthony Esposito, he explained that Logan was not a great performer live and Lynch decided to go with a different singer on their follow up, a self-titled album. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. In the late 1960s, bands such as Blue Cheer, the Jeff Beck Group, Iron Butterfly, Led Zeppelin, Golden Earring, Steppenwolf and Deep Purple also produced hard rock. The genre developed into a major form of popular music in the 1970s, with the Who, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple being joined by Queen, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Kiss, and Van Halen. ''Lynch Mob'' is the second album by American hard rock band Lynch Mob, and the first album to feature vocalist Robert Mason following the departure of Oni Logan. Logan was fired shortly after touring in support of the band's first album due to his life style that negatively impacted his ability to perform. There were also rumors that he had quit the band while touring in support of Queensrÿche, because he felt intimidated opening up for singer Geoff Tate. In a 1992 interview with Headbangers Ball, Lynch talked highly of Mason and stating, "Mason tracked us down, saying he had to be the singer for the band. He knew he was right for the group. He flew himself out. He was very much the opposite of the last singer. He's very dedicated, has a lot of confidence in his abilities and can definitely take control of an audience". Earshot is an American alternative metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1999. The band's lineup has changed several times during their existence, with vocalist Wil Martin being the band's sole constant member. After signing to Warner Bros. Records, Earshot issued their debut album '' Letting Go'' (2002), which spawned the hit single "Get Away". The band's second album, ''Two'' (2004), also produced a hit single, "Wait". Nu metal (sometimes stylized as nü-metal, sometimes called aggro-metal) is a subgenre of that combines elements of heavy metal music with elements of other music genres such as hip hop, alternative rock, funk, industrial, and grunge. Rap metal is a subgenre of rap rock and alternative metal music which combines hip hop with heavy metal. John Michael West (born October 29, 1964) is an American vocalist and guitarist, perhaps best known as the lead vocalist of Artension and the former lead vocalist of Royal Hunt. Early career Prior to his joining Royal Hunt in 1998, West contributed vocals to a variety of projects. His recording career began in 1986 as the singer of Diamond. Later, he sang for Destiny, who released the four-song demo ''Side By Side'' in 1989. He had brief stints replacing Ray Gillen in both Badlands and Sun Red Sun in the mid-1990s, also lending his voice to Cozy Powell's final solo album, ''Especially For You'' during this period. "Tie Your Mother Down" is a song by the British rock band Queen, written by lead guitarist Brian May. It is the opening track and the second single from their 1976 album '' A Day at the Races''. On its original release as a single in 1977 the song peaked at 31 in the UK Singles Chart. More than 20 years later, it was released as a double a-side to " No-One but You (Only the Good Die Young)" where it reached 13 in UK Singles Chart.
