Lycksele Zoo
Lycksele Zoo is a zoological garden located in the town of Lycksele in Northern Sweden Sweden, formally the Kingdom of Sweden,The United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names states that the country's formal name is the Kingdom of SwedenUNGEGN World Geographical Names, Sweden./ref> is a Nordic country located on .... The zoo was founded by Holger Lithner in 1959 and displays 25 species of Scandinavian animals. In November 2014, the zoo was criticized because a lynx managed to escape from the zoo. It also drew attention in December 2014 after a tourist train driver was discovered to be under the influence of alcohol while driving passengers. In January 2015, a two-year-old dog, a Siberian husky, was attacked by a lynx in Lycksele. As the attack on the dog took place during a walk with the owner in the residential area of Lycksele, this is believed to be the same lynx that escaped from the zoo in November 2014. Lycksele Municipality
Lycksele Municipality (; sma, Liksjoe tjïelte; sju, Liksjuon kommuvdna) is a municipalities of Sweden, municipality in Västerbotten County in northern Sweden. Its administrative centre, seat is located in Lycksele. The municipality traces its history to Lycksele parish, which was in effect during the 19th century with very similar borders and size (5,000-5,500 km²). The whole rural municipality Lycksele became a market town (''köping'') in 1929 and stad (Sweden), city in 1946. In 1971 it was amalgamated with Örträsk Municipality. Generally the northern municipalities, already sparsely populated, have population decreases, but various supporting projects also exist. For instance, a campus of Umeå University is situated here.
