Lyceum Pirates Basketball
The Lyceum Pirates basketball program represents Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) in men's basketball as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) (NCAA). The Lyceum Pirates previously co-founded the Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association (ISAA). History Run at MUCAA Leo Austria and Dante Gonzalgo played for Lyceum while it was a member of the now defunct Manila Universities and Colleges Athletic Association (MUCAA) in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Stint with NCRAA The Lyceum Pirates previously saw the likes of Gary David and Chico Lanete play for the Intramuros-based school. Playing at the National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA), Bay Cristobal coached Lyceum at this time. The Pirates were defeated by the St. Francis Doves in 2003. Lyceum of the Philippines University ( fil, Pamantasang Liseo ng Pilipinas) also referred to by its acronym LPU is a private, non-sectarian, coeducational higher education institution located at intramuros in the City of Manila, Philippines. NCAA Season 94 Basketball Tournaments
The NCAA Season 94 basketball tournaments are the 94th basketball season of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) (NCAA). The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA are the season hosts. Separate men's and juniors' tournaments are held for male college and high school students, respectively. Format * In the seniors and juniors' tournament, ten (10) teams will play in a double round-robin classification. * Once teams are tied, tie-breaker games shall be held for the top four seeds, if necessary. * The scenarios after the elimination round ends are the following below: *#If no team sweeps the elimination round, the regular playoffs (Final Four) shall be used. *#If a team successfully sweep the elimination round, that team will gain an automatic bye to the finals and the stepladder playoffs shall be used. *In the semifinals, the first and second seed shall earn a twice-to-beat bonus against their respective opponents.
