Luz Ebensperger
Luz Eliana Ebensperger Orrego (born 8 March 1964) is a Chilean lawyer and politician of the Independent Democratic Union (UDI). Since 11 March 2018, she has served as a Senate of Chile, senator for Electoral divisions of Chile, Constituency 2, corresponding to Tarapacá Region. From 2010 to 2014, she was the region's , during the first administration of President Sebastián Piñera. Early life and education Luz Ebensperger was born in Puerto Montt on 8 March 1964, the daughter of Victor Eduardo Ebensperger Aburto and Alicia Orrego Fernández. She is married to civil engineer José Andrés Díaz Brito, and they have three children. She completed her secondary studies at the Liceo de Niñas Isidora Zegers de Huneus in Puerto Montt. She later moved to Santiago and studied law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC), graduating as a lawyer in 1989. Puerto Montt
Puerto Montt (Mapuche: Meli Pulli) is a port city and commune in southern Chile, located at the northern end of the Reloncaví Sound in the Llanquihue Province, Los Lagos Region, 1,055 km to the south of the capital, Santiago. The commune spans an area of and has a population of 245,902 in 2017. Iquique
Iquique () is a port city and commune in northern Chile, capital of both the Iquique Province and Tarapacá Region. It lies on the Pacific coast, west of the Pampa del Tamarugal, which is part of the Atacama Desert. It has a population of 191,468 according to the 2017 census. It is also the main commune of Greater Iquique. The city developed during the heyday of the saltpetre mining in the Atacama Desert in the 19th century. Once a Peruvian city with a large Chilean population, it was conquered by Chile in the War of the Pacific (1879–1883).
