Luxury Racing is a motor racing team from France that formed in 2009. The team specialises in endurance racing, more specifically the FIA World Endurance Championship and has solely used Ferraris since 2011. History 2011 The team had its first venture in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2011, where they raced two cars in the LMGTE Pro class. They qualified 36th and 41st, which is 8th and 13th in their class with the #59 and #58 cars respectively. European Le Mans Series
The European Le Mans Series (abbreviated as ELMS) is a European sports car racing endurance series inspired by the 24 Hours of Le Mans race and organized by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO). The European Le Mans Series is similar to the former American Le Mans Series (ALMS) based in the United States and Canada that was running with ACO and International Motor Sports Association, IMSA between 1999 and 2013. 2011 American Le Mans Series Season
The 2011 American Le Mans Series season was a multi-event motor racing series for sports racing cars which conform to the technical regulations laid out by the International Motor Sports Association for the American Le Mans Series. It was the thirteenth season of the American Le Mans Series, a sports car racing series that drew original inspiration from the types of racing cars that compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the 41st season for the IMSA GT Championship, as this series traces its lineage to the 1971 IMSA GT Championship. Frank "Frankie" Montecalvo (born December 28, 1990) is an American racing driver who currently competes in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Early life A native of Highlands, New Jersey, Montecalvo attended high school at St. John Vianney High School. Career In 2012, Montecalvo took part in his first 24 Hours of Le Mans, driving for Luxury Racing in the GTE Am class. The team failed to finish the race, retiring with crash damage after 146 laps. Montecalvo returned to Le Mans in 2014, replacing Enzo Potolicchio in the 8 Star Motorsports GTE Am entry. In 2015 Montecalvo won the GTA class of the Pirelli World Challenge. Gunnar Jeannette (born May 5, 1982 in West Palm Beach, Florida) is an American racing driver who competes in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for WeatherTech Racing. Pierre Thiriet (born 20 April 1989 in Épinal) is a French racing driver. He finished eighth overall and second in the LMP2 class of the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans and won the European Le Mans Series in the LMP2 class in 2012. Career After competing in karting in 2003–04, Thiriet began racing in the Eurocup Mégane Trophy in 2009. Driving for TDS Racing, he finished fifth in the standings.
