Luxury Cabin
''Luxury Cabin'' ( es, Camarote de lujo) is a 1959 Spanish comedy film directed by Rafael Gil and starring Antonio Casal, María Mahor and Fernando Sancho. Synopsis A young man leaves his town and goes to the capital, La Coruña, to work with a relative in an emigration shipping company. He soon discovers that the boss extorts the emigrants he sells tickets to and even tries to steal the papers from one of them. But he, who is an honest and sensitive man, cannot consent to such injustice and returns the papers to the emigrant so that he can embark so that he ends up being fired with no money and without finding a job and without telling him or anyone about what happened. His parents or his girlfriend, he makes the decision to embark as a stowaway on a ship that goes to America. Rafael Gil (22 May 1913 – 10 July 1986) was a Spanish film director and screenwriter. His film ''La guerra de Dios'' (1953) won the Bronze Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 1953 and also won best film and best director at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. His film ''La noche del sábado'' (1950) was nominated for the Gold Lion at the 1950 Venice Film Festival and his film ''El beso de Judas'' (1954) was also nominated for the Gold Lion at the 1954 festival in Venice. His film ''Let's Make the Impossible!'' (1958) was nominated for the Golden Berlin Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival. He has won nine prizes of the National Syndicate of Spectacle of Spain. Gil was a prominent director of the Franco era. Carmen Rodríguez (born June 19, 1948) is a Chilean-Canadian author, poet, educator, political social activist, and a founding member of ''Aquelarre Magazine''. Along with her husband and daughters, she fled to Canada after the Chilean Coup of 1973 and where she now resides as a political refugee. Manuel Requena (1802–1876) was a Yucatán-born Californio politician who served multiple terms as Alcalde of Los Angeles (Mayor of Los Angeles). Requena became active in Los Angeles politics in the 1830s, during the Mexican era, and continued serving after the American Conquest of California until his death in the 1850s.
