Luxor (computer Game)
''Luxor'' is a game and series of tile-matching action puzzle video games, developed and published by MumboJumbo, with the initial release in 2005. The first sequel to this game was ''Luxor: Amun Rising'', which was released in 2005 followed by '' Luxor 2'', which was released in 2006 and included new gameplay, levels and bonus. After that came ''Luxor 3'', which featured seven gameplay modes and improved graphics. It was followed by '' Luxor: Quest for the Afterlife''. Gameplay ''Luxor''’s gameplay is similar to ''Puzz Loop'' and '' Zuma''. The user eliminates colored magical spheres by causing three or more spheres of the same color to collide. When spheres are eliminated, nearby spheres which now form a segment of three or more of the same color will also explode in a chain reaction. During gameplay, the on-screen spheres continuously move forward, pushed themselves by additional small scarabs. If any sphere reaches the player's pyramid, the player loses a life and is f ...

Luxor 3
''Luxor 3'' is an action-puzzle computer game released by MumboJumbo. It is a sequel to ''Luxor'' and ''Luxor 2''. As with the other Luxor games, it maintains an Egyptian theme and revolves around Egyptian deities, with a main gameplay goal of removing spheres in various lines of spheres on a set track by exploding groups of three or more spheres. Gameplay The game remains similar to that in previous editions of ''Luxor'': the main objective is to remove spheres of many different colors (ranging from four to nine different colors) from a track of spheres before they enter the pyramid at the end of a track. The lines of colored spheres are held by a scarab at the back end, and a set number of these sets must be cleared. ''Luxor 3'' features canopic jars that show up in the middle of the game: they will show up multiple times in each level until it is collected by being shot at by a sphere. ''StoneLoops! of Jurassica'' is a 2D bubble shooter game developed by Codeminion and distributed in 2008 by Game Club Cafe for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and iOS. Luxor Evolved
''Luxor Evolved'' is a tile-matching video game released in 2012 by MumboJumbo. Gameplay The objective of ''Luxor Evolved'' is similar to that of other marble-popping matching games such as PopCap Games' '' Zuma''. Typical of the ''Luxor'' series, each stage includes a series of scarabs pushing a line of marbles along a path toward an open pyramid. The player is tasked with rescuing the marbles, using a marble-launching "winged scarab" that moves across the bottom of the screen, by matching a chain of three or more of the same color, or by using various power-ups, which are dispensed randomly when the marbles are rescued. If any marble completely enters the holes, the player loses a life. ''Luxor Evolved'' introduces gameplay and style which is a notable departure from the series' norm. In comparison to earlier games, the gameplay moves more quickly. The chains of marbles are reversed, leaving some behind, rather than the stage being reset if the player loses a life; on a surviv ...

Power-up
In video games, a power-up is an object that adds temporary benefits or extra abilities to the player character as a game mechanic. This is in contrast to an item, which may or may not have a permanent benefit that can be used at any time chosen by the player. Although often collected directly through touch, power-ups can sometimes only be gained by collecting several related items, such as the floating letters of the word 'EXTEND' in ''Bubble Bobble''. Well known examples of power-ups that have entered popular culture include the power pellets from '' Pac-Man'' (regarded as the first power-up) and the Super Mushroom from ''Super Mario Bros.'', which ranked first in UGO Networks' ''Top 11 Video Game Powerups''. Items that confer power-ups are usually pre-placed in the game world, spawned randomly, dropped by beaten enemies or picked up from opened or smashed containers. They can be differentiated from items in other games, such as role-playing video games, by the fact that they ta ...
