Departments Of France
In the administrative divisions of France, the department (french: département, ) is one of the three levels of government under the national level ("territorial collectivities"), between the administrative regions and the communes. It has been classified as a Historic Monument since February 1930 in France History The history of the castle begins with Pierre, the son of Count Frédéric de Montbéliard, of very noble lineage since he is related to the powerful house of Savoy.
