Cherie Lunghi
Cherie Mary Lunghi (born 4 April 1952) is an English film, television, and theatre actress, known for her roles in many British TV dramas. Her international fame stems from her role as Guinevere in the 1981 film ''Excalibur''. Her long list of screen, stage, and TV credits include football manager Gabriella Benson in the 1990s television series ''The Manageress'' and a series of advertisements for Kenco coffee. She also competed in the 2008 series of '' Strictly Come Dancing''. She is the mother of the actress Nathalie Lunghi. Early life Lunghi was born in Nottingham. Her father, Alessandro Lunghi, was Italian. She was raised by her mother, aunt and grandmother, seeing her father only occasionally. Lunghi has described herself as feeling "different" as she did not have a mother and father like other children. Emilio Lunghi
Emilio Lunghi (16 March 1887, in Genoa – 27 September 1925) was an Italian athlete. He won the silver medal in the men's 800 metres race at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London, making him the first Italian to win an Olympic medal. Biography His time in the race was 1:54.2, which beat the previous Olympic record by 1.8 seconds but was still 1.4 seconds behind the time of Mel Sheppard, who took gold and set a new record at 1:52.8. Lunghi had won his semifinal heat with a time of 1:57.2 to advance to the final. Lunghi also competed in the 1500 metres. His first-round heat also included Norman Hallows; both of the two runners broke the Olympic record in that heat, but Hallows came out on top by running the race in 4:03.4 as opposed to Lunghi's 4:03.8. Miguel Lunghi
Miguel Ángel Lunghi (born December 6, 1943) is an Argentine Radical Civic Union (UCR) politician, paediatrician and mayor of Tandil, where he was born. At the age of 18 Lunghi joined the UCR political party. He studied pediatrics at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata and practised pediatrics for 35 years while also acting as Health Director of Tandil city between 1983 and 1987. In 1987 he left the post of Health Director and became a city councillor until 1991.
