Luna Yin (Chinese: 印子月; born 30 July 1993) is a Chinese C-pop ( Mandopop) singer songwriter born in the city of Taixing, in the province of Jiangsu. She has released two EP's and one studio album. as a composer, she has created songs for other singers such as He Jie and Ada Zhuang amongst others. Biography Yin was born in Taixing, Jiangsu Province on 30 June 1993. In 2010, when she was only a teenager, with the artistic name of Robot 5, she started her music career as an independent singer by singing covers and her own compositions in weibo and the QQ Music platform. In 2012, two years after her start, she signed a contract with the company GOGOMUSIC, in which she took part both as a performer and as a singer. From then on, she started releasing her original songs, she kept on composing music and also participated in the compilation albums of her record label. Taixing
Taixing () is a county-level city under the administration of Taizhou, Jiangsu province, China. It is located in the Yangtze River Delta, bordering the prefecture-level cities of Nantong to the east, Changzhou to the southwest, and Zhenjiang to the west. History The southern Hailin county was taken away to create Taixing in 938, it was administrated by Taizhou. It was under the jurisdiction of Yangzhou during the era of Yuan and Ming, but was transferred to Tongzhou later. It was returned to Yangzhou in 1953, and became a county-level city in 1992. C-pop
C-pop is an abbreviation for Chinese popular music (), a loosely defined musical genre by artists originating from mainland China,Hong Kong and Taiwan (the Greater China region). This also includes countries where Chinese languages are used by parts of the population, such as Singapore and Malaysia. Mandopop
Mandopop or Mandapop refers to Standard Chinese, Mandarin popular music. The genre has its origin in the jazz-influenced popular music of 1930s Shanghai known as Shidaiqu; with later influences coming from Japanese enka, Hong Kong's Cantopop, Taiwan's Hokkien pop, and in particular the School campus song, Campus Song folk movement of the 1970s. 'Mandopop' may be used as a general term to describe popular songs performed in Mandarin. Though Mandopop predates Cantopop, the English term was coined around 1980 after "Cantopop" became a popular term for describing popular songs in Cantonese. Cantopop
Cantopop (a contraction of "Cantonese pop music") or HK-pop (short for "Hong Kong pop music") is a genre of pop music written in standard Chinese and sung in Cantonese. Cantopop is also used to refer to the cultural context of its production and consumption. The genre began in the 1970s and became associated with Hong Kong popular music from the middle of the decade. Cantopop then reached its height of popularity in the 1980s and 1990s before slowly declining in the 2000s and experiencing a slight revival in the 2010s. The term "Cantopop" itself was coined in 1978 after "Cantorock", a term first used in 1974. Ada Zhuang (Simplified Chinese: 庄心妍) (Traditional Chinese: 莊心妍) (Pinyin: Zhuāng xīn yán) (born 9 January 1993), is a Chinese C-pop singer who started her music career in 2012. Since then, she has been gaining popularity in Mainland China and her albums have been also released also in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Biography Personal life Ada Zhuang was born on January 9 of 1993 in Lufeng, in the Guangdong province of China. She lived her childhood and teenage in her hometown with her family.
