Lulu The Movie
Lulu The Movie () (literally "Lulu's Movie") is a 2016 Singaporean comedy film written, directed by and starring Michelle Chong as the titular protagonist. Plot Lulu (Michelle Chong) is a woman from Shanghai, China, who came to Singapore with the intent of meeting her online date, "Brad Pit" (Chen Tianwen). Expecting him to be a tall, rich and handsome man, upon realizing that he was the complete opposite and that he has displayed a photograph of his twin brother, Leon (Leon Jay Williams) online, she instantly fell in love with Leon. In order not to lose face back at her hometown, Lulu decided to stay in Singapore and make a living for herself. In order to sustain herself, Lulu took up several jobs besides working at a nightclub as a Karaoke box, KTV hostess. Michelle Chong (, born 22 April 1977) is a Singaporean film, TV and digital content producer and director, writer and actress. She left the National Broadcaster Mediacorp in 2011 to set up her own media agency Left Profile and production house Huat Films. She has produced, written and directed 3 commercial movie, the first of which, ''Already Famous'', was chosen as Singapore’s entry for Best Foreign Film at the Academy Awards in 2013. Tay Kewei (; born 18 August 1983) is a Singaporean singer-songwriter. She has released songs in English, Chinese, and Japanese. Professional background In 2006, Tay Kewei joined local singing competition Project SuperStar, initially getting into the top 24, but having to withdraw eventually due to conflicting gig schedules.
