Lullaby Land (album)
''Lullaby Land'' is the third studio album by Vampire Rodents, released on October 25, 1993, by Re-Constriction Records. The album utilizes strings, horns, and timpanis backed with industrial music tropes. Music and lyrics Daniel Vahnke's lyrics focus on topics such as referring to the UN is a genocide monitor, daring Muslims to nuke Belgrade, cattle drive-by shootings, and "the only good Nazi is a dead Nazi". The album has much more emphasis on guitars than either of their previous releases, while retaining their usual sound. The tracks "Trilobite" and "Nosedive" were made in collaboration with 'electronic junk punk' band Babyland and were first released on the ''Rivet Head Culture'' compilation under the band name Recliner. This collaboration would continue throughout the Rodents' career. Vampire Rodents
Vampire Rodents was a sound collage and experimental music ensemble based out of Phoenix, Arizona, although its core members originally came from Canada. The creative nucleus of the project comprised vocalist and composer Daniel Vahnke and keyboardist Victor Wulf. Daniel Vahnke was primarily influenced by 20th-century classical and avant-garde music, whereas Wulf drew from new age, ambient and synth-driven pop music. Their work also dabbled in big band, bebop, musique concrète, industrial, electro, Indian classical and Greek music. Vampire Rodents debuted with '' War Music'' (1991), an album that showcased their knack for dark humor and experimentation with the pop and industrial music format. Guitar
The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. Sampler (musical Instrument)
A sampler is an electronic or digital musical instrument which uses sound recordings (or " samples") of real instrument sounds (e.g., a piano, violin, trumpet, or other synthesizer), excerpts from recorded songs (e.g., a five-second bass guitar riff from a funk song) or found sounds (e.g., sirens and ocean waves). The samples are loaded or recorded by the user or by a manufacturer. Jared Louche (born Jared Hendrickson; December 11, 1960) is an American musician best recognized as the front-man of industrial rock outfit Chemlab. He also founded the band H3llb3nt and has collaborated with Pigface, Progrex.iv and Vampire Rodents. Pall Jenkins is an American vocalist, guitarist and music producer. He is the front man for the bands Three Mile Pilot and The Black Heart Procession, as well as his collaborations with Vampire Rodents and Ugly Casanova. Biography Pall Jenkins formed Three Mile Pilot with bassist Zach Smith and drummer Thomas Zinser in 1991. The band released three albums before parting ways so they could focus on individual projects.
