''Lullaby'' is a collaborative studio album by Australian singer Kate Ceberano and New Zealand-born musician Nigel MacLean that was released in November 2015, ''Lullaby'' was inspired by Kate's Hawaiian background where mothers sing to their children as they go to sleep. Kate said "Our buckskin baby was born 12 years ago now and I wanted to give her a gift for choosing us as her guardians. And during the making of this album Nigel's son was also born. Kate Ceberano
Catherine Yvette Ceberano ( or , born 17 November 1966) is an Australian singer and actress who performs in the soul, jazz, and pop genres, as well as in film and musicals such as '' Jesus Christ Superstar''. Her song " Pash" received a gold sales certification in 1998. In 2019, she was one of the contestants in season one of ''The Masked Singer Australia'' as ‘The Lion’, where she was unmasked in episode seven, placing sixth. "The Owl and the Pussy-cat" is a nonsense poem by Edward Lear, first published in 1870 in the American magazine '' Our Young Folks: an Illustrated Magazine for Boys and Girls'' and again the following year in Lear's own book ''Nonsense Songs, Stories, Botany, and Alphabets''. Lear wrote the poem for a three-year-old girl, Janet Symonds, the daughter of Lear's friend and fellow poet John Addington Symonds and his wife Catherine Symonds. The term "runcible", used for the phrase "runcible spoon", was invented for the poem. Doug de Vries (born 26 July 1960) is an Australian guitarist working in Melbourne, Victoria. He studied jazz guitar with Bruce Clarke and classical guitar under Jochen Schubert and began playing professionally at the age of 18. He undertook a degree in Music at La Trobe University between 1983 and 1987 joining the Australian Jazz Orchestra a year later. de Vries performs in a variety of styles including jazz, choro, tango and bossa nova and is Australia's leading exponent of the Brazilian guitar repertoire.
