Luke Warm
John William "Jo" Callis (born 2 May 1951) is an English musician and songwriter who played guitar with the Edinburgh based punk rock band The Rezillos (under the name Luke Warm), and post-punk band Boots for Dancing before joining The Human League.Strong, Martin C. He was a member of The Knutsford Dominators before forming The Rezillos in 1976. The band played many gigs in Edinburgh and Glasgow, during which Callis wore space suits and other hi-tech costumes. He wrote the Rezillos' 1978 hit "Top of the Pops". In late 1978, after the release of the band's only album, The Rezillos split in two, with Callis forming Shake along with Simon Templar (born Simon Bloomfield) and Angel Paterson. Rotherham
Rotherham () is a large minster and market town in South Yorkshire, England. The town takes its name from the River Rother which then merges with the River Don. The River Don then flows through the town centre. It is the main settlement of the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham. Rotherham is also the third largest settlement in South Yorkshire after Sheffield and Doncaster, which it is located between. Traditional industries included glass making and flour milling. ''Octopus'' is the seventh full-length studio album recorded by the British synthpop band The Human League. It was produced by the former Tears for Fears keyboard player Ian Stanley and released by EastWest Records in 1995. It was the first new album from The Human League in five years after the termination of their long-term contract with Virgin Records. ''Octopus'' was the first Human League album that presented the band as a trio consisting of the singers Philip Oakey, Joanne Catherall and Susan Ann Sulley. The former Human League member Jo Callis and keyboard player Neil Sutton also contributed to the writing of the album. ''Romantic?'' is the sixth studio album by English synth-pop band the Human League. It was issued by Virgin Records in 1990 and was the band's first album of new material in four years. ''Romantic?'' had several producers, most notably Martin Rushent, who worked with the Human League on their biggest commercial success (1981's ''Dare'') and had walked out of the recording sessions for its 1984 follow-up (''Hysteria''). Also producing several tracks is Mark Brydon, who would be one half of musical duo Moloko several years later. At the time of the album's release, the Human League had reached the nadir of a decline in popularity following the success of ''Dare'' nine years prior; this fall from grace was reflected in the song "The Stars Are Going Out," in which the band reflects upon their loss of fame and its impact on them. ''Hysteria'' is the fourth studio album by English synth-pop band The Human League, released on 7 May 1984 by Virgin Records. Following the worldwide success of their 1981 album ''Dare'', the band struggled to make a successful follow-up and the sessions for ''Hysteria'' were fraught with problems. The album title itself is taken from the problematic recording period. Producers Martin Rushent and Chris Thomas both left the project which would eventually be finished by producer Hugh Padgham. ''Hysteria'' attained relatively lacklustre success in comparison to its multi-platinum predecessor.
